Julian serves as outside general counsel to small and mid-size businesses in their day-to-day operations. His clients are from a variety of industries, including food service, construction, manufacturing and financial services. They seek Julian’s advice to promote their health and growth in a variety of corporate/commercial matters ranging from business planning and acquisitions, equity and debt financings to avoiding or resolving business disputes and other disruptions.
Julian heads the firm’s department and his advocacy practice is focused on franchise disputes, construction liens and corporate governance issues such as shareholder rights and obligations of directors and officers.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Julian spent several years working in Germany in the construction and automobile industries in international sales and management. While in Germany, Julian also had a career as a professional hockey player and he continues to be actively involved in youth hockey as a skating instructor and coach.
Julian obtained his undergraduate degree from Yale University and he attended law school at the University of Toronto. He speaks fluent German.
